Son state annunciate le diverse nomination per i Critics’ Choice Awards 2020 la cui cerimonia di premiazione verrà trasmetta live domenica 12 gennaio su The CW. Diverse le nomine quasi scontate ma anche sorprese tra le serie tv come per mini-serie e film tv (in questo articolo si escludono le pellicole di servizi streaming quali Netflix).

Ben 33 nomination per HBO ma la serie tv con più candidature è When They See Us. Lo show Netflix si aggiudica infatti 5 nomine solo per i suoi attori oltre a quella per miglior mini-serie.
In generale il famoso servizio streaming si è guadagnato, tra film e serie tv, 61 nomination mentre Amazon 14.
Dopo When They See Us, lato drama la fortunata serie NBC This Is Us e lato comedy Schitt’s Creek dell’emittente cable Pop TV, si aggiudicano ognuna 5 nomination.
Con 4 candidature seguono Barry, Game of Thrones, Watchmen e Chernobyl di HBO, Fleabag di Amazon, Fosse/Verdon di FX, The Crown ed Unbelievable di Netflix ed infine The Good Fight di CBS All Access.
