Ieri sera si è tenuta l’82esima edizione dei Golden Globe Awards, che renderanno omaggio ai migliori film e alle migliori serie tv del 2024 e daranno ufficialmente il via alla stagione dei premi. Indipendentemente dal fatto che siate fan sfegatati della DC o fan sfegatati della Marvel, i geek e i nerd dovrebbero prestare molta attenzione ad alcune gare dei Golden Globe, perché le loro proprietà e i loro film preferiti sono in lizza per alcuni dei premi (che potrebbero aprire la strada a premi ancora più importanti nel corso dell’anno). Ai premi di quest’anno, Dune: Parte 2 è in lizza per due premi diversi (e non ha vinto nessuno dei due), mentre Il robot selvaggio e Wicked sono in lizza per quattro (Wicked ne ha vinto solo uno, mentre Il robot selvaggio non ne ha vinto nessuno). Gli appassionati di genere devono sapere che The Substance ha cinque nomination ai Golden Globe (e che Demi Moore ha vinto il premio per la migliore interpretazione femminile in un film musicale o commedia).
Per quanto riguarda la televisione, The Penguin ha ottenuto tre nomination, tra cui Miglior serie limitata, serie antologica o film prodotto per la televisione, Miglior attore in una serie limitata per Colin Farrell e Miglior attrice in una serie limitata per Cristin Milioti. Farrell si è ufficialmente aggiudicato il premio come miglior attore in una serie limitata, aprendosi forse la strada per una nomination ai Primetime Emmy nel corso dell’anno. Milioti ha invece perso la categoria a favore di Jodie Foster per True Detective: Night Country della HBO. La buona notizia per i fan del Pinguino è che la Foster ha già vinto il suo Primetime Emmy per lo stesso ruolo, quindi non competerà con la Milioti quest’anno.
